“The Indo Pacific Business Summit” - Developing a Road Map for Shared Prosperity from 6-8 July 2021 over a virtual platform

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, is organizing an event named “The Indo Pacific Business Summit” - Developing a Road Map for Shared Prosperity from 6-8 July 2021 over a virtual platform.

CII is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization, with over 9000 members from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 300,000 enterprises from 294 national and regional sectoral industry bodies. For more than 125 years, CII has been engaged in shaping India's development journey and works proactively on transforming Indian Industry's engagement in national development.

The emergence of the Indo Pacific region, the geographic space that connects the Indian and the Pacific Oceans, has gathered significant acceptance as a single strategic construct over the past few years. The Business Summit will have participation of Governments, Enterprises, Business Chambers, Think Tanks & Academia from the countries in the region. The Summit will have focused sessions on how India and the countries in Indo Pacific Region can enhance economic partnership and collaborate for future economic development. The Summit will also have a Virtual Business Exhibition.

Objectives of the Summit are:-

• Create and provide a platform for decision makers from Indo - Pacific countries to meet and discuss with business leaders and policy makers.• Highlight the role of the States as the drivers of growth and partnership with countries from the Indo-Pacific Region.
• Identify and showcase opportunities for investment and partnerships by Indo-Pacific companies Identifying sector-specific opportunities to increase trade and bringing stakeholders on a single platform.
• Enable B2B meetings with sectoral focus, matching the requirements of businesses from the Indo-Pacific region with Indian companies and vice-versa.
• Promoting business collaborations and facilitating technology transfers.
