INVITING NOMINATIONS FOR PRAVASI BHARATIYA SAMMAN AWARDS (PBSA) 2017

The 15th edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention will be held on 7-9 January, 2017 in Bengaluru. As in previous years, the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards (PBSAs) will be conferred by the Hon’ble President at the PBD Convention on 9 January, 2017, as the highest honour conferred on overseas Indians by the Government of India in recognition of their achievements both in Indiaand abroad. The awards will be conferred on a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or an NRI / PIO Organization / Institution, who have made a significant contribution in any of the fields mentioned in the Gazette Notification.

The Embassy would like to invite Recognized / Registered Indian Associations and previous awardees of Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award in Italy to send nominations by completing the prescribed nomination form. The Gazette Notification dated 13.7.2016 issued in this regard and nomination form are available at http://www.mea.gov.in/pravasi-bharatiya-samman.htm The completed nomination form and enclosures as specified may be sent by e-mail toinfo.wing@indianembassy.it, followed by the original so as to reach Ministry of External Affairs on or before 29th August, 2016.
